Driving directions to Southwest Regional Office:
From the north ( I 80, I 79, Pennsylvania Turnpike)
Take I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left off I-79.)
Follow Interstate 279 South to Pittsburgh:
BEAR RIGHT onto RAMP to EAST ST
TURN LEFT onto EAST ST or HWY 28 (NORTH-EAST)
Follow Hwy 28 North to the 31st Street Bridge.
Turn Right on to the 31st St Bridge, go 50 feet, turn right on to River Rd.
Go 50 feet and turn left on to the Island, Bear left at the bottom and go to
400 Waterfront Drive.
From the south ( I79, I 70)
Follow I-79 North to the I-279 North Exit.
Take 279 through the Fort Pitt Tunnels and across the bridge
FOLLOW as road goes into I 279 (EAST)
BEAR RIGHT onto RAMP to HWY 28 (NORTH-EAST)
BEAR RIGHT onto HWY 28 (NORTH-EAST)
Follow Hwy 28 North to the 31st Street Bridge.
Turn Right on to the 31st St Bridge, go 50 feet, turn right on to River Rd.
Go 50 feet and turn left on to the Island, Bear left at the bottom and go to
400 Waterfront Drive.
From the east ( 22, 30, Pennsylvania Turnpike)
Cars traveling from the east via the PA Turnpike (I-76) should take Exit 57 to I-376 West
Follow Interstate 376 West to Pittsburgh:
BEAR RIGHT onto FORT PITT BLVD
BEAR LEFT onto I 279 (NORTH)
BEAR RIGHT onto RAMP to HWY 28 (NORTH-EAST)
BEAR RIGHT onto HWY 28 (NORTH-EAST)
Follow Hwy 28 North to the 31st Street Bridge.
Turn Right on to the 31st St Bridge, go 50 feet, turn right on to River Rd.
Go 50 feet and turn left on to the Island, Bear left at the bottom and go to
400 Waterfront Drive.
From the west ( 79, I 70, Routes 22/30, 60, 61)
Cars traveling from the west via the PA Turnpike (I-76) should take Exit 28 and follow I-79 South to I-279 South.

Follow Interstate 279 North to Pittsburgh:
Proceed through Fort Pitt Tunnels in the left lane

Port Authority Transit System (PAT bus) is a publicly owned mass transit system operated by Port Authority of Allegheny County. Fares vary within a five-zone system extending in all directions from downtown to the outer suburbs.
Basic fare is $1.25. Exact change is required. Transfers can be purchase for a quarter, and can be used for one connection in any direction within three hours of the time of purchase; pay as you enter on inbound trips toward downtown Pittsburgh, pay as you exit on outbound trips before 7:00 p.m. After 7:00 p.m. , pay as you enter on all trips. Yellow Cab (412-665-8100) and People's Cab (412-681-3131) provide service to the area. Fares from downtown are approximately $7, and fares from the airport are approximately $30.
